About Majalis Abu Dhabi

Majlis embodies the culture of the United Arab Emirates and its traditional values. It is strongly relates to Emirati social life and young generations attending the Majlis acquire habits and traditions that shape them into exemplary individuals. The Majlis highlights the value of generosity and guests are welcome. Poetry is recited at the Majlis, information is shared, knowledge gained and perspectives broaden.

The Majlis provides a space for communication and participation among community members to discuss everyday matters, seek counsel, and make decisions after conferring with one another. It serves as a platform for community members to express themselves on societal, environmental, economic and humanitarian issues. Genuine Emirati values, and hone their communication skills. The Majlis instills a sense of belonging and pride in one’s cultural heritage. They promote solidarity and camaraderie, and help instill core values such as hospitality, respect for elders, unity, and collaboration.

Vision

The Majalis were initiated to further consolidate the national identity of the United Arab Emirates, encourage community participation, foster social cohesion, raise awareness and develop a sense of patriotism.

Mission

To apply the best management practices in order to organize periodic sessions, awareness and educational lectures, social and national events; engaging citizens by expressing their opinion, advice and interest in their affairs, and launching initiatives to enrich the community within high quality facilities.

Objectives
